Wheel Bolt Pattern Tool
Wheel PCD Calculator: Calculate Bolt Pattern and Pitch Circle Diameter
Use this wheel PCD calculator to estimate bolt pattern from measured bolt distance. It helps wheel buyers, repair shops and custom wheel importers prepare clearer specifications before requesting a quotation.
Calculate Wheel PCD
Select the bolt count and enter the measured bolt distance in millimeters. For 4, 6 and 8 lug wheels, measure center to center across opposite bolt holes. For 5 lug wheels, measure adjacent bolt center distance.
This calculator is for quick specification planning. Final wheel fitment should be confirmed with the vehicle data, hub bore, offset, brake clearance and actual wheel drawing.
How to Measure PCD
4, 6 or 8 bolts:
Measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the opposite bolt hole.
5 bolts:
Measure the center distance between two adjacent bolt holes, then use the calculator to estimate the pitch circle diameter.
Common format:
PCD is usually written as bolt count x diameter, such as 5×114.3, 5×120, 6×139.7 or 4×100.

Common Wheel PCD Examples
These are common examples only. Vehicle fitment can vary by model year, market, brake package and trim level.
| PCD | Common use | What buyers should confirm |
|---|---|---|
| 4×100 | Small cars, compact cars and older platforms | Center bore, offset and brake clearance |
| 5×100 | Selected compact and performance vehicles | Exact vehicle generation and hub bore |
| 5×112 | Many European vehicle applications | Load rating, offset and center bore |
| 5×114.3 | Common passenger car and performance platforms | Offset, brake clearance and wheel width |
| 5×120 | Selected European and performance vehicles | Hub bore, bolt seat type and offset |
| 6×139.7 | Pickup, SUV and off-road applications | Load rating, wheel width and suspension setup |

PCD Alone Is Not Enough
When sending a custom wheel inquiry, include the full fitment package so the supplier can review production feasibility and quotation details.
FAQ
Wheel PCD Calculator Questions
Short answers for buyers checking bolt pattern before placing a custom wheel order.
What does PCD mean on a wheel?
PCD means pitch circle diameter. It is the diameter of the circle formed by the wheel bolt holes.
Is PCD the same as bolt pattern?
They are closely related. Bolt pattern usually includes bolt count and PCD, such as 5×114.3.
Can I order custom wheels with a special PCD?
Yes. Custom wheel projects can often be made with requested PCD, offset, center bore, finish and logo requirements, subject to manufacturing feasibility.
What information should I send for a quotation?
Send vehicle model, wheel size, PCD, offset, center bore, finish, quantity and target market.
